It’s been a minute since I’ve been asked to shoot a Senior Portrait Session!
If I’m honest, I was a little nervous…
Will she like my outfit? Will she like my jokes? Will she think I’m cool?
Just kidding, I know I’m cool! 😎😜
I was a little nervous, because it had been a minute since I’d shot a Senior Session and I’m usually posing at least two people together… Posing two or more people / families feels easier, almost like putting pieces of a puzzle together… somehow, it feels easier than posing just one person alone!
Buuuuut, as it goes, the nerves fell away once we got started!
It helped that Nyah was very sweet, easily coachable and a natural beauty!
We shot her Senior Photos at Biltmore, which (come to think of it), is where I’ve shot probably my last five senior sessions!😋 Biltmore Estate is always a popular choice among local Seniors! When you grow up here, you’re definitely familiar with the estate and you know there’s LOTS of location options around the Estate to choose from! Beautiful Architecture, perfectly manicured Trails & Gardens, Rolling Hills & Mountain Views, Giant Trees and even Horses & Farm Animals, if that’s your thing! 😋
There are LOTS of other options for Senior Sessions as well! Some awesome ideas (off the top of my head) would include: Shooting around your High School (particularly if you play a sport!), Shooting in Downtown Asheville, the RAD or at other places/business you love or frequently hang out! Shooting somewhere that incorporates your hobbies or extra curricular activities! Shooting out on the Parkway, at a Waterfall or shooting at another place that’s meaningful to you…
The possibilities are truly endless! During your pre-session phone consultation, we’ll discuss location options in detail and I’ll help you to identify a few that would be perfect for your Senior Portrait Session in Asheville! We’ll also discuss wardrobe (you’ll have time for up to three different looks) and I can schedule professional hair and makeup service at my studio before we go out to shoot your session!
