Asheville Maternity Photographer shares a look at a Studio Maternity Session shot in Asheville Maternity Photography Studio
The completely crazy thing is: In five years, I’ll probably look back at these images and think they’re garbage! (Not the Beautiful, Strong, Lovely Woman / Mother in them!) I’m talking more about the technical stuff: Composition, Posing, Lighting, Editing Technique etc.
I’ve always (14yrs this July to be exact!) shot really beautiful outdoor, picturesque WNC Maternity Portraits but since opening the studio in 2022, I’ve been sooooo excited to explore the possibilities for Studio Maternity Portraits in Asheville! 😉
So, last week, with my main squeeze away for Spring Break with his dad, I had a Model Call and invited two expectant mother’s into my studio to explore the possibilities with them! It was a chance for me to practice, to build confidence, to grow in a low stakes / low stress situation!
Any photographer who’s worth their salt, should always be learning new technique, practicing and growing in their craft and in business…. otherwise, what are we even really doing, ya know!? 😜
When I look at these images, I see the imperfections, I see the things I will do differently next time, I see the areas that I need to learn and grow in, I see the technical skills that I need to advance… and in five years, when I’m five steps ahead of where I am now, I’ll probably look back at these images and think they’re “garbage” but I do know at least one person who will always treasure them! 🥰❤️
