Who says Birthday / Cake Smash Sessions are just for one year olds!?

Hear me out: In my experience (14 years to be exact!) it’s about 80/20 for the 80% of one year olds I see who are completely uninterested in their smash cake versus the 20% who actually go nuts with it! Think about it: Most one year olds have never seen a birthday cake or have even tasted sweets like that! Most of them, honestly, could are less about that smash cake! But two year olds…. they know what’s up! 😉

When McKinley’s mamas asked me if two year old birthday sessions were a thing, I was like YESSSSSS! They most certainly are! I would imagine, McKinley’s mamas isn’t the only mom who was left wanting more from that first birthday session…

So, we brought this little angel face into my studio (twice) because — two year olds!! LOL She wasn’t feeling it the first time but the second time was definitely the charm! (you see what I did there!?) 😜😎
